At Emergency Medics, we understand the critical importance of being prepared to use an automated external defibrillator (AED). With AEDs becoming more widely available in public areas and workplaces, having qualified personnel ready to act can dramatically increase the survival rate for those suffering cardiac arrest.
This qualification is perfect for anyone with responsibilities at work or involved in voluntary and community activities where an AED is accessible. Our course will equip you with the knowledge and practical skills needed to recognise and treat both adults and children who have suffered cardiac arrest. You’ll learn to respond quickly, calmly, and confidently in these high-stakes situations.
In addition to AED training, the course also covers how to handle choking incidents, ensuring you’re well-prepared for a range of emergencies.
We’re proud to offer this qualification, which is regulated in the UK and awarded by First Aid Awards (FAA), an organisation recognised by Ofqual and SQA Accreditation. It sits on both the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) and the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF).
